HOW TO GET A RESIDENT VISA

Houston native Janet Loman talks about her recent experience on how to get a resident visa stress free before they left the United States. Janet and Ed chose visa expert Maite Duran and Gringo Visas to take the stress out of visa acquisition and their move to Cuenca, Ecuador.

Loman states “The beauty of having the US office is that all the things that we needed to have stamped and registered and all that kind of stuff, we were just able to send it from our home in Houston to her offices in Connecticut, and we were close to the process, so if we needed to get anything quickly to her, to her offices in the US it was just an overnight – it was just simple and easy…”

Loman continues “We had an unusual situation as Ed is adopted so his birth name is different from his adoption name, which is kind of unusual, so we had to go through the process of getting his original birth certificate and his adoption papers. He’s divorced, I’m divorced so we had to go through the process of submitting our divorce papers. Maite just walked us through the whole process, and I can tell you, if we had to figure all that out ourselves, we would have come down here without the right documents. We told her about our different circumstances, and she just knew the answers.”
